Apply Basic Knowledge of IP Law to Support an Organisation (Blended Learning)

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

This course aims to provide the following knowledge and skills to the participants:

-        Analyse how IP Law can drive organisation’s IP strategies and objectives

-        Comprehend IP legislation and regulations

-        Analyse qualifying criteria for seeking IP protection

-        Analyse potential infringement activities and defences available

-        Evaluate considerations related to IP transactions

PROGRAMME STRUCTURE & SCHEDULE

There are two modules on Patent Law and Trade Mark Law in Apply Basic Knowledge of IP Law to Support an Organisation. You may opt to register for one module or both modules. The modules are designed to be delivered in a blended learning approach.

From 4 July, you will be given access to the online modules of your choice and each should take you about 12 hours to complete over a duration of 3 weeks. Learners can expect to learn and network with others in the online platform via mind maps, case studies, scenario-based animations and peer-to-peer discussion forums. Your course tutor and facilitators will answer your questions and ensure participation from all the learners.  

At the end of the 3 weeks, you will be required to attend a 0.5-day classroom session on 25 July, for each module, with the course tutor, Ms. Teo Yi-Ling, Senior Faculty of IPA. Learners have to be familiar with the online content to be ready for the intense classroom session where the application of learning will take place.
