To many local enterprises, identifying, protecting and exploiting IP is often perceived to be only relevant to the huge conglomerates with pockets deep enough for a portfolio of thousands of rights.
With this common misconception, local enterprises may stand to lose out if they ignore the competitive edge that effective management of IP can bring their business.
In this series of 3 hour modules, participants will get to understand the main forms of IP from a business perspective and then will be taught IP’s application to business in a practical and direct manner.
Participants will go away with an understanding of the things that should matter to local enterprises for them to decide if they wish to go further into and develop the IP aspect of their company, and how to work with what they have, and what they can afford.
The tutors are a selection of in-house counsels and agents who will bring with them their experiences in internal management of IP. Their direct industry experiences and internal best practices would be relevant to all organisations – big or small.
At the end of the Modules, participants should be able to:
- understand the various forms of IP & IP practices, and how & why they can be applied to their company’s products or services;
- put in place simple internal checks and procedures to manage the assets they have;
- know what expertise they need to tap on if they want to make their IP assets an integrated part of their company strategies.
A Certificate of Attendance will be issued to participants who sign up for all modules.
