The Graduate Certificate in Intellectual Property Law is a foundation law course suitable for those training to become registered patent agents in Singapore. Successful completion of this certification course is one of the pre-requisites for admission onto the register of patent agents in Singapore.

This basic foundation course in IP is also suitable for those who wish to train as in-house IP advisors, IP-portfolio managers and licensing / technology transfer executives.

This course is jointly organised by the IP Academy and the Faculty of Law, National University of Singapore.

2. Law of Trade Marks and Unfair Competition
3. Law of Copyright and Designs
4. Law of Patents and Trade Secrets
5. Special Topics

Course Calendar
This is a 1 year part-time course, covering 2 semesters:

Part 1 - August to November
Tuesdays (6pm - 9pm)
Thursdays (6pm - 9pm)
Saturdays (9.30am - 12.30pm)
[Examinations will be held in November / December]
 
Part 2 - January to April
Tuesdays (6pm - 9pm)
Thursdays (6pm - 9pm)
Saturdays (9.30am - 12.30pm)
[Examinations will be held in April / May] 

Admission Criterion
A good University degree. University students who will have completed their studies by the commencement of the course are also eligible to apply.
