Arthur is currently the Centre Director (Technology Transfer & Enterprise) at Singapore Polytechnic. His responsibilities include intellectual property management, consultancy and industry partnerships. Before his appointment as Centre Director, he was an academic staff and assisted in the development of the Diploma in Infocomm Secuirty Management. He was subsequently awarded the Excellence in Teaching Award in 2006. Arthur was seconded to MOE's Academic Research Section and he developed the Intellectual Property Management Framework for MOE's Research Centres of Excellence.
Prior to joining SP, Arthur was a litigation lawyer with one of the leading law firms in Singapore. |

Chong Kai was formerly a manager in the Ministry of Defense (MINDEF) where he was responsible for managing and pro-actively enhancing the capacity for innovation. Recognised as MINDEF’s Outstanding Suggestor in 2008, he proposed the intellectual property management policy and designed the process for patent application approval in MINDEF. MINDEF subsequently filed a patent jointly with Nanyang Polytechnic. He is now with the Ministry of Information, Communication and the Arts (MICA) where he is managing organizational excellence. He has continued to be active in innovation projects and looks forward to enhancing the management of intellectual property in MICA. |
